Do You Have A Plan for Human Capital – Free White Paper

The No 1 challenge now facing many organisations, and even more so over the next decade and beyond, will be the strategic management of their workforce.  Workforce planning is focused on head counts and time lines.

It typically fails to address the broader strategic workforce questions and adequately differentiate or segment the workforce. A one size fits all mentality is a recipe for mediocrity!

This Human Capital Strategic Plan – Whitepaper is a great resourced for anyone who is reviewing their team or organisational capability.

It provides a cogent case for organisations to move beyond the limitations of workforce planning to address the workforce/talent management challenges ahead, and develop a human capital strategy, documented in the form of a Human Capital Strategic Plan.

AGLIN Annual Forum “Wrap Up”

Sally Dallas and John Cooksey had a great time at the AGLIN forum last week. The quality of the presentations was excellent and certainly a lot of food for thought…click here for direct access to all presentations.

We were particularly pleased to receive some great feedback on our own presentation “Technology & Talent:  Towards a New Paradigm” which covered the following:

  • Impact of the Global Financial Crisis
  • Changing Nature of Work
  • Influence of “Web 2.0″
  • A New Paradigm for Talent
  • A Vision for the Workforce
  • Where to Next for HR?

It certainly seemed like our observations with regard to identifying talent and more importantly, the ability to develop a pool of available or developing talent for the future, resonated well with forum participants.  Contact John Cooksey, GM Recruitment at Zenith, who is more than happy to walk you and/or your team through the presentation, or to help you formulate a staffing and human resources plan for the future.

Worldy Soles @ TAFE NSW as 300 million children need shoes!

Worldly Soles is an Australian Initiative started by Student Associations in TAFE NSW in 2010.  It works with the NSW Government and as such guarantees delivery of shoes only to people in need in foreign countries.

When they realised in 2009 that a pair of shoes could mean the world to a person in a poor country, they felt a responsibility to take action. A pair of shoes can help someone to find work and give them confidence to take a new “step” in life. 300 million children around the world have never owned a pair of shoes and many suffer foot injuries daily as a result (ie. Children searching for goods in garbage tips to make a living).

More than 50 colleges, and their libraries, around NSW became collection points and media coverage across the state helped spread  the campaign to the wider community. Today many Childcare centres, Sporting clubs, companies and community groups participate with additional collection points.

Zenith is not a collection point, however we strongly encourage you to click here to learn more!
